Greater Control Over Your Data

Delete specific data without closing your account! This option allows you to remove certain information while keeping your Comoesta account active and accessible.

What is Data Deletion?

Data deletion allows you to request the removal of specific types of personal information from your Comoesta account without deleting the entire account. This gives you more granular control over your privacy.

How to Request Data Deletion

This will open your email client with a pre-formatted message to our support team.

Specify What Data to Delete

In your email, clearly indicate which data you want removed. See the "What Data Can Be Deleted" section below for options.

Include Verification Information

Provide:

  • Your full name (as registered in the app)
  • Registered email address
  • Contact number (if applicable)
  • Specific data categories you want deleted

Wait for Confirmation

Our team will review your request and respond within 15 business days. We may contact you to clarify which data to remove.

What Data Can Be Deleted

You can request deletion of the following data categories:

Profile Information

  • Specific address components (street, barangay, etc.)
  • Contact number
  • Profile preferences

Note: Some basic information (name, email) is required to maintain the account

Uploaded Documents

  • Specific files or attachments
  • Photos and images from completed cases
  • Documents no longer needed for active services

Communication History

  • Chat message history
  • Old support inquiries
  • Notification history

Location Data

  • Historical GPS coordinates
  • Location access history
  • Address verification records

Usage Data

  • App usage patterns
  • Device information
  • Session logs

Data That Cannot Be Deleted

Some data must be retained for legal and operational purposes:

  • Active Order Information: Data related to ongoing debt collection cases
  • Payment Records: Financial transaction history (retained for 7 years for tax compliance)
  • Legal Records: Information required for legal proceedings or regulatory compliance
  • Essential Account Data: Basic information needed to maintain account functionality (name, email)
  • Audit Logs: Security and compliance records

What Happens After Data Deletion?

  • Account remains active: You can continue using Comoesta normally
  • Data is permanently removed: Deleted data cannot be recovered
  • Backup retention: Data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days
  • You can add new data: Feel free to upload new documents or update information anytime
  • Services unaffected: Your ability to use app features remains unchanged
